Steering Committee
A Steering Committee has been appointed by the VPAA to provide assistance to the Director of Extended and Distance Learning. The committee provides general oversight into the development of distance learning policies and programs. Its members represent a cross-section of key stakeholders in extended and distance learning at Texas State.
Academic and Student Support Services Committee
The VPAA has appointed an Academic and Student Support Services Committee. The committee is charged with identifying support services currently available to on-campus students that are directly transferable to extended learners; identifying support services that are unique to extended learners; and identifying the impact on the current infrastructure in providing support services to extended learners.
Marketing Your Courses and Programs
Several opportunities are available to market your distance learning courses and programs to a potentially larger student audience. In addition to Texas State’s distance learning website, courses and programs may also be posted at no charge on the websites of the Texas State University System, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and the Electronic Campus of the Southern Region Education Board. If you would like additional information on how you might get your courses and programs listed on these websites, contact the Director of Extended and Distance Learning at DistanceEd@txstate.edu.
