The Health Research Program prepares students in the quantitative and computer skills important to the improvement and administration of health care today. Students enrolled in Health Services Research combine biostatistics, management science, operations research, epidemiology, marketing research, and computer applications to become quantitative decision-makers for a variety of health and social science fields. One of the biggest areas in health care today is the exploding field of "outcomes" research, or the measurement of quality in health care, which Texas State Health Research students are uniquely qualified to enter.
