Italian 1410: Beginning Italian I
Introduction to listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills within an Italian cultural framework. Students who begin Italian 1410 toward general educational requirements must also complete 1420.

Course Rationale:
This course will be offered as part of a series of courses in Italian language courses to support art history and music (local performance) studies at Texas State. The course will introduce students to the basic structures of Italian and basic cultural concepts of the Italian presence in the work today. The course will include topics of interest to students in a variety of fields, including modern languages, art and design, music, opera studies, Italo-American studies, history, anthropology, and studies of the Ancient Roman Diaspora.

Cost: $750

Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm

Italian 1420 will not be offered in the Fall 2008 semester.

Italian 2310 will not be offered in the Fall 2008 semester.

Continued development and review of all language skills within an Italian framework.

More advanced practice in all language skills with greater emphasis on reading within an Italian cultural framework.
