- It was an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I met a lot of great people.

11. Briefly describe your best experience in this program:
- The optional trip to the ATM Cave. (4)
- Visiting Tikal. (3)
- Finding the figurine head.
- The whole experience of visiting the ATM Cave, through the jungle, into the cave through the river, and then climbing up to see the artifacts, was unbelievable.
- Meeting local people.
- I learned more about the subject than I thought I would.
- Staying in Flores, Guatemala, for a weekend trip.
- I loved the excavation during the week.
- Traveling on the weekends.
12. Briefly describe your worst experience in this program:
- Field lunches. (2)
- Generalized favoritism.
- Being hung over at work.
- Lack of sleep due to my own desire not to miss anything about the country.
- Eating meat.
- Bruising my back in the cave.
- Rasta Rash.
13. List information that you did not receive that you think is important for future participants to have:
- You need more than $500 in spending money.
- Bring a lot--like a gallon--of the strongest bug spray you can find.
- Bring Imodium AD and Pepto Bismol.
- Makes sure all of your money is in travelers' checks.
- Conserve your money!
- Get used to spending all your time with other people, including strangers.
- Save a little money to pay for the exit fee from Belize.

- The atmospheres of Cayo and all the places we traveled were great and friendly.
- This program is an amazing opportunity, and I feel very lucky to have participated in it. I would recommend it for everyone.
- Being immersed in the culture here was a great experience.
- I think Dr. Garber did an excellent job presenting the material and explaining what we were trying to do here. Overall, it was the best class I have taken.

- This course is the best way to experience archaeology. Any serious anthropology major (archaeology or other) should participate.
- The location is perfect. Belize is bequtiful and safe. You get a feel for Central America and the Caribbean.
